South Lanarkshire leisure and Culture are delighted to be hosting their annual Dirty Duo Duathlon event.  

This year it will be a junior only event for primary 1 aged children up to 16yrs. The event is also for all abilities.

The events

Registration for all competitors opens at 08:30

Mini Duo (Primary aged children - 7yrs)

Run 400m - Cycle 500m - Run 100m

Race Briefing: 09:20

Race Starts: 09:30

Presentations: 11:45 approx.

Tri Star Starts (8yrs)

Run 400m - Cycle 1.6km - Run 400m

Race Briefing: 9.50am

Race Starts: 10:00am

Presentations: 11:45 approx.

Tri Star 1 (9/10yrs)

Run 800m - Cycle 1.6km - Run 800m

Race Briefing: 10:35

Race Starts: 10:45

Presentations: 1pm approx.

Tri Star 2 & 3 (11-14yrs)

Run 800m - Cycle 3.2km - Run 800m

Race Briefing: 11:20

Race Starts: 11:30

Presentations: 1pm approx

Tri Star 4 (15 & 16 yrs)

Run 800m - Cycle 4.8km - Run 800m

Race starts: 12pm

Presentations: 1.30pm approx

Entry fees  

Tri Stars (all levels) - £12.00

Mini Duo - £6.00

Entries close on 25th October 2019 at 23:59.

If spaces allow participants can register on the day but to avoid disappointment advance registration is recommended.

We cannot guarantee spaces after online bookings close.

Registration takes place in Courtyard Gallery at the times above. Here you will collect your race number, safety pins, and course map.

Courses Information

The event will take place through the beautiful trails of Calderglen Country Park where the course will be challenging on both grass and trails.  

Additional Information

Toilet facilities are located at the entrance to the play park and in the courtyard café. There are no dedicated changing facilities.

The storage area for bags etc will be found in the gazebo at the start/finish area.

Parking is available in the main car park of the Country Park.

All competitors will receive their course map at registration but should anyone get into difficultly on the course, there will be plenty of marshals to assist.

Race briefings will take place on the start line for each individual event.

Prizes will be awarded to

1st, 2nd, 3rd Boy and Girl in each age category.
