NLC World Cup Kick-Off

We’re delighted to announce our first football event of the year– World Cup Kick‑Off, taking place on Sunday 24th May at Broadwood Stadium.

This exciting day will be delivered as two age‑specific mini events, ensuring an enjoyable and appropriate experience for all participants:

• Ages 5–7: 9:00 – 10:15am
• Ages 8–12: 10:45am – 12:00pm

The event is exclusively available to members of our Football Direct Debit programmes. Each child should register individually and will be placed into a team on the day to take part in a fun festival‑style event.

• Players aged 5–7 will enjoy small‑sided games
• Players aged 8–12 will take part in 7‑a‑side matches

This event is designed to give children additional opportunities to play games, meet new friends from across our programme and help build excitement ahead of Scotland’s long‑awaited return to the World Cup, which will be just weeks away at the time of the event.

Our aim is to provide a fun, inclusive and positive environment where children can enjoy football, showcase their skills and take part in activities inspired by the upcoming World Cup. We’d love to see as many players as possible wearing Scotland colours on the day — although this is completely optional.

A full event schedule will be sent to all participants closer to the date.
