Cumbernauld 10K 2027

In partnership with Suicide Prevention, the Cumbernauld 10K is a family-friendly community running event based at Broadwood Stadium in Cumbernauld.

The event is delivered by Active & Creative Communities within North Lanarkshire Council under the RUN NL brand.

Alongside the main 10K road race, the event offers a range of distances for children, young people and adults, creating an inclusive day of running and family activities.

Race Events

10K Road Race
Open to ages 15+

5K Race
Open to ages 12+
The 5K is chip timed. Please note that the route is approximately 5K and is unmeasured.

1K Race
Open to ages 7+
The 1K is chip timed. Please note that the route distance is approximately 1K.

400m Dash
Open to ages 6+

Toddler Dash
Open to preschool-aged children.

Participant Rewards

All participants who complete their race will receive:

• Finisher's medal
• Fruit
• Water
• Cereal bar

Activity Fun Zone

Throughout the day, there will be a range of free activities for the whole family to enjoy, including:

• Bouncy castles
• Come & Try Sport activities
• Family activities

Free massage therapy sessions will also be available to participants to support their pre-race preparation and post-race recovery.

Whether you're challenging yourself in the 10K, taking on the 5K, bringing the children along for their own race or simply coming along to enjoy the atmosphere, there will be something for everyone.
