Rutherglen Christian Aid Fun Run/Walk Overtoun Park Sunday 12th June

Want to have a fun afternoon and help us raise money for the work of Christian Aid?  Then sign up here today!  The more runners, joggers and walkers who get involved, the more fun everyone will have.  Dress up, or wear something red if you like, but make sure your feet are comfortable!

N.B We can also accept entries on the day, but if you do that, please bring cash.  We don't have a card reader to take your payment.

The 5K ROUTE (for age 7+) goes three times clockwise (for safety reasons) round the outside of Overtoun Park and is open to all abilities.  Cost: £5

The all-age 1K ROUTE is entirely within the park - running, walking, toddling, or (for children only) on a tricycle, scooter or similar. Cost: £1

We'll send out your entry number and further details as soon as we can, but here’s some useful information for now:

• Check in: 1.45pm onwards  Warm up at the bandstand: 2.15pm  1K start: 2.30pm  5K start:3:00pm
• Everyone who completes the 1K or the 5K gets a named Finisher certificate and a goody bag, so don't forget to collect them after the finish!
• The Christian Aid Fun Run/Walk is a fun challenge, not a serious, timed, competitive event.  If you are keen to know your time, please record it on a watch or phone.
• There are no changing facilities in the park, so please check in ready for whatever weather conditions we have on 12th June.  This is Scotland, remember! 
• We are very grateful to Overtoun Park Bowling Club for permitting Fun Run/Walk participants to use their toilets.  These are near the south (Roger Drive) park entrance.
• To save plastic waste, please bring your own water bottle.  You will be able to refill it in the park.
• When you finish your event, don’t forget to collect your Finisher Certificate - and your goodies!
