The Dumyat Hill Race is a popular fixture on the hill running calendar – providing a fun, challenging event set around the University of Stirling campus.  It also doubles as the Scottish Student Sport Hill Running Championship.

This years event takes place at 7pm on Wednesday 3rd May 2017 and entries will close on the 26th April 2017.

Fun for all, competitive for some. This race is ideal for those attempting their first hill race to those more experienced hill runners.

The record stands at an incredible 32 minutes and 23 seconds, set by Murray Strain. Former World Mountain Running Champion Angela Mudge, a sports masseuse at the University, is the women’s record holder with a time of 36 minutes and 36 seconds.

Event information

All entrants must report to the Gannochy Sports Centre between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on the day of the race to collect their number.

All runners are asked to congregate at the start line by 6:45pm in order for the race to start promptly at 7pm.

Any medical information should be discolsed prior to the event - this can be completed on the registration form.

Please ensure you are wearing suitable footwear for the race, fashion trainers are not advisable.

Minimum Age for entry is 16yrs

Parking

There is parking available on campus. 

Changing facilities

There are changing facilities and showers located in the Gannochy Sports Centre. Due to the high volume of runners expected it is advisable to come prepared in your running attire prior to the race commencing. 

Refreshments

Light refreshments are available to purchase from the Gannochy Sports Centre cafe. Please note the cafe will close at 9:30pm

Prize Giving

Prizes will be awarded to the 1st place runner in each catagory. This will take place immediately after the event.
